Committed to making new innovative physical theatre and to exploring ways of expressing an idea in the space by transferring thoughts and feelings into shapes, movement, dynamic and sounds.

Our work varies from short solos to full length shows and is heavily influenced by physical theatre, clowning, mime, dance, and everything else in between.

 

About the company

Tal Jakubowiczova - Artistic Director (TJ on Twitter)

Now based in London, Tal studied Acting in Israel at Sofi Moskovich’s school, focused on the physical side of theatre.
She also studied clowning (Phillipe Gaulier) and puppetry (Little Angel Theatre). She founded Hide and Seek in order to create her own work that would speak in more then just words. She loves being silly at work and generally chooses (whenever possible) to work with positive and happy people.

Gloria Sanders (GS on Twitter)

Gloria started young; as a fox-cub at the ENO. After an English Lit & Drama degree at UEA, she attended another acronym, DSL, where she continued her training in character, textual analysis, and movement. The union of devised, improvised, and narrative methods of storytelling attracted her to the Hide and Seek ethos of working, which has become an integral part of her continuing development as a performer.

Chandni Mistry (CM on Twitter)

Chandni is a bright and focused young Asian actress. She trained at Bath Spa University and developed strong skills in ensemble, devising and site-specific theatre. Making theatre is not just a passion, but it is what she needs to do... and that is why playing, creating and learning as a part of Hide and Seek Theatre is essential to keeping her imagination constantly running wild.

Paul O'Shaughnessy - Admin (PO on Twitter)

Paul studied Stagecraft in Vancouver and has worked with several theatres and production companies. He is particularly interested in Stage Management, with the specific interest in Lighting and Sound. He is eager to gain production experience working on Hide and Seek Theatre's upcoming tour.
